36) A rope is tied from the tip of a vertical pole of length 37m to a peg on a
level ground .Another rope is tied to the same pole little below from its tip to a
peg on the ground opposite to it as shown in the figure .Each rope is making an
angle 300 with the ground if the difference of the lengths of the Rope is 8m then
find the height of the pole at which the shorter rope is tied. Also find the lengths
of the Ropes.
37) Prove that “If in two triangles, corresponding angles are equal, then their
corresponding sides are in the same ratio (or proportion) and hence the two
triangles are similar”.

38) In the figure a solid consisting of a right circular cone of height 120 cm and
radius 60 cm standing on a hemisphere of radius 60 cm is placed upright in a
right circular cylinder full of water such that it touches the bottom. Find the
volume of water left in the cylinder if the radius of the cylinder is 60 cm and its
height is 180 cm.
