Previous Lesson Good Morning Ma’am!
or Presenting the Good Morning Sci-Class!
new lesson
How are you today?

So, are you okay?

Are you alright?

That’s good to hear! Before anything else,

please stand and let first ask the guidance
of our Lord, as we pray.. Heavenly Father, we came to you today in
prayer, asking for your guidance and
wisdom as we begin this class. Help us to
stay focused and attentive as we learn and
grow together. Give us the strength to stay
motivated and the courage to ask questions
when needed. We thank you for the
opportunity to learn and grow in
knowledge. May our minds be open to
new ideas and our hearts be filled with
understanding in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Amen

Classroom Management

Before you take your seat,

1. Pick up all the pieces of dirt
around you.
2. Arrange your chair horizontally
and vertically.
3. Keep the unnecessary things
especially your phones.

Done? Alright! Let’s raise our arms,

shake them to the left, to the right, and
right back up! Stretch it up! Then down.

Mahu-Sci!

You may now take your seats. Let us

check the attendance. Count.

Very good, perfect attendance.

Review of Previous Lesson

What topic did we discuss last meeting?

We discussed last meeting is the AM and
FM. There are applications of AM and
FM.

How do we recognize things we can’t see

clearly?

What technologies help us ‘see’ things

that are far away or invisible?

B. Establishing a

lesson going to discuss for today? We’re going to discuss the Principles of
Signal Transmission and Reception

That’s right and here’s our objectives for

today.
At the end of the lesson, the students are
expected to:
a. explain the basic principles of
signal transmission in radar and
laser systems.
b. analyze the advantages and
limitations of radar and laser signal
transmission.
c. illustrate the process of signal

skills #1 Signal Relay Game

There are 2 groups of students. Form a

line facing the board. The last student
away from the board must be the
informant.

He/she must draw an object on the other

student’s back and the other student must
do the same so on, so forth. Until the
information reaches the student facing the
board. He/she must have the correct
information coming from his/her
classmates.

Now, count 1-2.

Are you ready? This will take only 5

minutes to finish the drawing.
E. Discussing new

practicing new
skills #2 In the beginning, these systems were not
called radar. The word "radar" was an
acronym coined in the 1940s by the
United States Navy. It stands for radio
detection and ranging.

Radar Signal Transmission

Radar sends out radio waves, which
bounce off objects and return to the
receiver. The time it takes for waves to
return helps determine the object’s
distance and speed.

Application of Radar
Used in air traffic control and weather
forecasting

Laser Signal Transmission

Laser stands for Light Amplification by
Stimulated Emission of Radiation

Lasers emit concentrated beams of light

that travel in straight lines.
Application of Laser
Used in fiber optic communication,
medical procedures, and barcodes.

The infrared light used for laser

communications differs from radio waves
because the infrared light packs the data
into significantly tighter waves, meaning
ground stations can receive more data at
once. While laser communications aren’t
necessarily faster, more data can be
transmitted in one downlink.

F. Developing Explain

To clearly understand the concept of

signal transmission and reception like
radio waves and other types of
electromagnetic waves. Let’s analyze the
diagram.

G. Finding Practical Elaborate

living whether the application uses Radar or
Laser.

Communicating through fiber optics
H. Making What is the full form of RADAR?

about the lesson. form of RADAR.

What are the main uses of RADAR?

RADARs are used in military, law
enforcement, space exploration, remote
sensing, aircraft navigation, ship
Navigation and air traffic controller.
How are RADARs used for aircraft
navigation?
Weather and ground mapping RADARs
are employed in aircraft to navigate them
efficiently. This technology allows an
aircraft to ensure the location of obstacles
that can threaten the flight path.
What is the full acronym of LASER?
Light Amplification by Stimulated
Emission of Radiation
Lasers are used in communications to
encode digital signals for transmission
along an optical fiber in a manner similar
to electrical transmission of binary data
on a metal wire.

Laser signal transmission is central to

modern telephone, ethernet and digital
TV communications.

I. Evaluating Evaluate

while lasers are better for _____.
J. Additional Extend

application or Advantages of Radar
modification
The radar can see through the medium
consisting of fog, snow, rain, darkness,
clouds etc. Research about the advantages and
disadvantages of both radar and laser.
Radar signals can penetrate and see
through insulators.

It can distinguish fixed as well as moving

target types.

Disadvantages of Radar

It can not distinguish and resolve multiple

targets which are very close like our eye.

It can not recognize the color of the

targets.

It can not see targets which are in the

water and are too deep.

Advantages of Laser :

-High Data Conveying Limit

-Outcome of Electro-attractive
Obstruction -
-Less sign spillage
-Used in making Fibre Optic Links –
Laser-
-Used in Clinical Field
-Used for Dumping down Adversary tank
-Laser is used in CDs and DVDs
Disadvantages of Laser :

Costly for Patients

Costly for specialists
Increases intricacy
Less uses in Dental method
Higher forces during the cutting cycle
Destructive
