Greetings of the day!

We all wait eagerly for the summer holidays. There is no doubt that vacations are the most
appropriate time for students to refresh and rejuvenate themselves. Children have ample
energy which needs to be channelized in the right direction to get the best out of them.

This year, your holiday assignments are a mix of all fun aspects of learning. It has been
designed to ensure that children enjoy and learn at the same time. Special attention
hasbeen taken to ensure the use of creativity, uniqueness and imagination.

We urge you to:


● Nurture your child’s interest – be it art, music, dance, or anything else.
● Train your child to become independent in his daily chores.
● Converse in English with your child.
● Share stories about your childhood and your family history.

Experiential Learning Approach and to make learning more fun and fruitful the Art-
Integrated Projects are specially designed to ignite a passion for discovery and
experimentation among the learners.

This year CBSE has paired with Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands
for ART INTEGRATED PROJECT, so that students can learn more about these islands.
Through the projects they will explore their creativity while building connections
between different concepts through various art forms.

1. Design an attractive pamphlet on behalf of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands tourism department
inviting
people to visit the state of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Note: The art integrated project work will be assessed as part of the subject
enrichment activity for internal assessment.

2. Revise your whole syllabus done in the class.

TOPIC: Statistics

As per CBSE art intigration activity we have been alloted ANDMAN & NICOBAR ISLAND.
Here is some small description of ANDMAN & NICOBAR ISLAND.

The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are
known for their palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforests. Coral reefs
supporting marine life such as sharks and rays make for popular diving and snorkeling sites.
Indigenous Andaman Islanders inhabit the more remote islands, many of which are off limits to
visitors

So we will have some climatic parameters on which we will analyze the trend of climate for 10
consecutive days. These parameters are TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY and RAINFALL.

For all above mentioned parameters we will calculate the statical characteristics Like Mean , Mode
and Median.

General instructions:

1. Collect the data of Temperature, Humidity and Rainfall for 10 consecutive days.
2. Find the Mean , Mode and Median for all the above three parameters.
3. Do all calculations on A-3 sheet so that it can be represented on wall / Boards.
4. Draw Line Graphs of all three parameters.

Inferences:

Through these calculations we wil be able to know about the weather conditions of Andaman and
Nicobar Islands.What is the best time to visit there for tourist.

Assessment criteria: 10- marks

1. Two (3) marks for Related Content .


2. Two (2) marks for Neatness.
3. Two (3) marks for Representation.
4. Two (2) marks for Calculations.

helped.

a. Project Overview: Purpose, aim, methodology and experience while doing the project
b. Chapters with relevant headings.
c. Summary and conclusions based on findings.
d. Bibliography should have the title, pages referred, author, publisher and if a website, the
name of the website/link.

Material Required: Project sheets – ruled sheets (can be coloured or plain), coloured pens
and markers, a stick file, sufficient pictures (at least one on each page).

DIY Herbal Remedies

From ancient times our grand mothers have treated us with their home remedies. Whenever we suffered
from a cold, a headache or any other sickness, they would run to their kitchen and get a concoction for it
instantly. Herbal remedies are the oldest and the most natural X.

Form of therapy

Explore traditional herbal remedies used for common ailments and gain hands-on experience in preparing
and using herbal preparation, supplement the work with the project report explaining the following points:

· Define the terminologies and concepts used in relation to human nutritional requirements.
· Discuss the mechanism behind recommended remedy.
· State the significance and uses of the recommended remedy.
· Present the current nutrient recommendations for Indian population.
· Paste the picture of self prepared herbal medicine
· Bring the sample of herbal remedy properly labelled and sealed for submission.

• Various dried herbs (e.g., lavender, chamomile, peppermint, rosemary)

• Carrier oils (e.g., olive oil, coconut oil)
• Beeswax (for making balms or salves, optional)
• Essential oils (optional, for additional fragrance and therapeutic benefits).

the presentation.
2. The Project file should be simple and impressive with your Name, Roll No. and Class neatly written on the
File.

4. The above research-based report should be hand written on A4 sheet.
5. Supplement your research work with the help of pictures, drawings and other relevant materials to
enhance the visual appeal of the project.
