“A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REALIGNMENT OF PHP 35,500.00 FROM THE 70%
PREPAREDNESS FUND OF THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND
MANAGEMENT (BDRRM) FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF 500 LITERS OF DIESEL FOR
THE CREATION OF A RIVER FORK (SANGANG DAAN)”
WHEREAS, the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) Fund allocates a 70%
Preparedness Fund to be used for activities and programs that enhance disaster preparedness and
mitigation;

WHEREAS, the creation of a river fork or "Sangang Daan" is a necessary infrastructure project
intended to mitigate flooding and redirect water flow, thereby reducing the risk of water-related disasters
in the barangay;

WHEREAS, the barangay recognizes the urgent need for diesel fuel to operate the necessary machinery
and equipment for the creation of the river fork, which will serve as a long-term flood mitigation
measure;

WHEREAS, Php 35,500.00 previously allocated for the purchase of food and materials from the 70%
Preparedness Fund can be realigned to cover the cost of purchasing 500 liters of diesel required for the
project;

WHEREAS, Section 21 of Republic Act No. 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Act of 2010) allows the realignment of funds to ensure that disaster risk reduction and
preparedness objectives are effectively met;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Eleonor Q. Frias duly seconded by Hon. Jessie O. Laylay,

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Marlangga, Torrijos,


Marinduque, in a session duly assembled, to realign the amount of Php 35,500.00 from the 70%
Preparedness Fund of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) Fund,
originally allocated for the purchase of food and materials, for the purchase of 500 liters of diesel for
the creation of a river fork (Sangang Daan) to mitigate flooding and enhance disaster preparedness in
the barangay.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Barangay Treasurer is hereby authorized to process the necessary
documentation to effect the realignment and ensure proper disbursement of funds for the purchase of
diesel.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Commission on


Audit (COA), accounting office and other concerned offices for their information and appropriate action.

APPROVED this 8th day of October, 2024 at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Marlangga, Torrijos,
Marinduque.
