The student will be able to:

 To introduce electric circuits and its analysis


 To impart knowledge on solving circuits using network theorems
 To introduce the phenomenon of resonance in coupled circuits.
 To educate on obtaining the transient response of circuits.
 To phasor diagrams and analysis of three phase circuits

BASIC CIRCUIT ANALYSIS

Unit wise objectives :


 To introduce the basic terms of electricity, define the network terms and Classification of electric
networks, differentiate between Active and Passive elements and also to analyze the series and
Parallel connections of electric circuits
 To Understand the concept of voltage division in series resistance circuit and current division in
parallel resistance circuit, and understand the Principle of Kirchoff’s Law
 To impart the knowledge on basic definitions of AC circuits and its waveforms, phasor diagram, rms value,
power and power factor
