o Start with a question: "What happens to food after we eat it?"

o Facilitate a brief discussion to assess prior knowledge.

2. Introduction to the Digestive System

o Explain that the digestive system is responsible for breaking down food, absorbing
nutrients, and eliminating waste.

Presentation (10 minutes)

 Groups will present their flowcharts to the class.

 Encourage questions and discussions after each presentation.

Conclusion (5 minutes)

1. Recap Key Points

o Review the organs and processes of the digestive system.

o Ask students to share one new thing they learned.

2. Exit Ticket

o Have students write down one question they still have about the digestive system.

Assessment

 Evaluate group flowcharts for understanding of concepts.

 Collect exit tickets to assess individual comprehension and remaining questions.
