II. DESIGN PHASE
A. Learning Outline: - Introduction (10 minutes): Teacher explains the different action words
and give examples.
- Guided Practice (10 minutes): Learner will work in pairs to identify the
action words.
- Independent Practice ( 10 minutes): Learners will write their own
example of action words.
- Conclusion (10 minutes): Review the key concepts and correct the
sentences as a class.
III. DEVELOPMENT PHASE
- Create examples of action words sentence on the whiteboard and prepare
a worksheet with sentences for the learners to identify the action words.

- Create a worksheet with matching type for students to match the words
with their corresponding images.

- Prepare sample of action words or classroom discussion and display on


the board.
- Review the presentation to ensure the examples are clear and prepare the
worksheet with sentences of different difficulty levels to challenge all
learners.
- If some students find the task difficult, simplify the sentences or provide
extra practice in small groups.

IV. IMPLEMENTATION PHASE


A. Learning - Let the learners identify the action words in a given sentences.
Procedure - Correct errors in the answers provided.
- Add three (5) samples of verbs.
- Let the learners define and identify the verb or the action words in the
sample sentences given both by the learners and teacher.
- Formative Assessment: Quick oral questioning during the lesson (e.g.,
“What is the action word of this sentence?”).
- Direct Instruction: Teacher explains the structure of an action words
using examples on the whiteboard.
- Learners work in pairs to identify the action words in sample sentences.
- Learners write their own sentences and identify the action words and
correct given answers.
- Materials & Resources: Whiteboard and markers for explanation.
- Textbooks and Printed worksheets with sentences for practice.
- TV - PPT to display examples on the screen.
B. Learner - Ask learners questions to check understanding during the lesson (e.g.,
Engagement “Can you find the action words in this sentence?”). During guided
practice, ensure all students are contributing.
