This is the timeless story of Vikram and Betal. The story of Vikram
and Betal is one of ancient origins, dating back to the Baital
Pachisi—the Twenty-Five Tales of Betal. This collection, steeped
in Sanskrit tradition, has traveled through centuries, weaving its
way into the fabric of Indian folklore.
Compere 8:
Though the exact origins are shrouded in mystery, it is believed
that these stories were passed down through oral traditions,
carried across generations, and eventually written down for all to
read. The story of Vikram and Betal is a famous Indian folktale .
Compere 9:
It follows King Vikramaditya, who is tasked with capturing a
mysterious, supernatural being named Betal. Betal, a clever and
talkative vampire-like figure, repeatedly escapes from Vikram's
grasp, each time posing a moral riddle or story.
Compere 10:
Vikram must listen to Betal's stories and answer the riddles
correctly, without speaking. If Vikram speaks, Betal will escape.
Despite the challenges, Vikram's wisdom and patience ultimately
lead him to successfully complete the task, demonstrating his
integrity, intelligence, and perseverance.

LAMP LIGHTING
“Respected Chief Guest, Principal sir, and esteemed guests, it is
with great honor that we begin this occasion of OUR schools 10th
annual day . To mark the start of this event, we invite our Chief
Guest, _____________, and our Principal, Mr. Mahendra jagdale
sir, to light the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of light
over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
As the lamp is lit, we reflect on the words from the Bhagavad Gita:
