Sarah is making a large batch of cookies for a school bake sale.

The recipe she is using

calls for the following ingredients:

 2 1/2 cups of flour

 1 3/4 cups of sugar
 3/4 cup of butter

She wants to double the recipe to make enough cookies for the sale. After doubling, she
decides to add an extra 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of butter to make the cookies extra
sweet and buttery.

1. How many cups of flour does Sarah need for the doubled recipe?
2. How many cups of sugar does she need for the doubled recipe, after adding
the extra sugar?
3. How many cups of butter does she need for the doubled recipe, after adding
the extra butter?

Extension: After baking, Sarah decides to divide the cookies into bags that hold 3/4 of
a dozen cookies each. If she has made 48 cookies, how many bags will she need? Will
there be any cookies left over? If so, how many?
