1 Introduction
This manual contains a listing of the available parts for the Spectrum XF series of scanners. It
includes individual parts, assemblies, kits and service tools.

The parts listings contain several columns similar to those shown in the example below:

The Description refers to the description given to the part. This may be an electrical description
of the part and not the name the part is called in a training class or the Spectrum XF Service
manual.

The Part Number is the identifier that is used to order the part.

The Functional Description is the name used for additional information about the part.

In addition, callouts are used to specifically point to a particular part or assembly. The next
example calls out the part number S004919 and its description – rubber foot. Quantities are
listed next if applicable.

Assemblies and Kits

Assemblies such as cameras are factory pre-aligned and calibrated. Individual parts for these
assemblies normally are not available. Replace only with another assembly.

Kits contain a group of parts but are not factor aligned and calibrated. An example is the
transport motor kit. This kit contains the motor and attached pulley, and the necessary bushings,
washers and mounting screws.
