Introduction
The paper introduces an Intelligent Alcohol Detection System for car drivers to address the
significant issue of drink and drive-related accidents. The authors highlight the dangers of driving
under the influence of alcohol and present a comprehensive solution using sensors and modules
such as Alcohol Gas Sensor, Eye Blink Sensor, Tilt Sensor, GPS, and GSM. The proposed system
aims to detect alcohol levels, driver fatigue, and abnormal vehicle conditions, triggering alarms
and taking preventive measures to enhance road safety. With the help of their study it can lessen
the accident that caused by drunk driving.
Methodology
The methodology section describes the hardware requirements as well as the proposed circuit
diagram. The Intelligent Alcohol Detection System can be implemented using Arduino UNO,
MQ3 Alcohol Gas Sensor, Eye Blink Sensor, Tilt Sensor, GPS, GSM, and other components. The
circuit diagram provides a clear representation of how these elements are interconnected. The study
delves into the technical functionalities of each hardware component, emphasizing their roles in
alcohol detection, monitoring driver tiredness, and evaluating vehicle conditions.
However, the methodology section provides hardware details but lacks information on software
development, algorithmic processes, and any real-world testing or validation. A more
comprehensive explanation of the system's development process is needed.
However, the discussion does not delve into potential errors or inaccuracies in the results.
Providing an error analysis and discussing the system's limitations in detecting alcohol levels,
tiredness, or vehicle conditions would contribute to a more realistic assessment and also the
discussion does not sufficiently explore potential areas for system improvement based on the
obtained results. Addressing areas that need refinement or enhancement would guide future
research directions.
Conclussion
In conclussion, the Intelligent Alcohol Detection System proposed in this study provides a possible
answer to the urgent issue of drink-and-drive accidents. The authors effectively present a
comprehensive system that uses a variety of sensors and modules to improve road safety by
detecting alcohol levels, driver weariness, and anomalous vehicle conditions. While the technique
includes specific hardware details, it lacks insights into software development, algorithmic
methods, and real-world testing, necessitating a more in-depth explanation of the system's
development.
