Case Study Title: Breaking the Stigma: A

Mental Health Awareness Campaign in
Schools

CASE#1:
A group of psychology graduates launched a mental
health awareness campaign in urban high schools to
address the increasing cases of anxiety, depression,
and stress among students. The campaign included
seminars, counseling sessions, and peer support
groups.

What were the positive and negative effects of the

campaign? Why do you think these effects occurred?

 Evaluation: Feedback forms and follow-up

assessments were used to measure the
campaign's effectiveness and improve future
sessions.

Positive Effects Observed:

 Increased awareness and understanding of
mental health issues among students and
teachers.
 More students sought counseling and mental
health support.
 A supportive school environment was fostered,
reducing stigma around mental health.

Negative Effects Observed:

 Some students felt uncomfortable discussing

personal issues publicly.
 Teachers struggled to balance academic duties
with the additional responsibility of providing
support.
 Limited funding restricted the campaign’s
expansion to more schools.

Case Study Title: Voices for Change: A

Youth-Led Social Media Campaign Against
Cyberbullying

CASE#2
A group of senior high school students initiated a
social media campaign called #SafeSpacesOnline to
combat cyberbullying after witnessing several cases of
online harassment among their peers. The campaign
aimed to raise awareness, promote kindness, and
provide support for victims.

Evaluation The team tracked engagement metrics (likes,

shares, comments) and collected feedback through online polls to
evaluate the campaign’s effectiveness.

Positive Effects Observed:

 Increased awareness of cyberbullying and its

harmful effects.
 Victims felt more supported and encouraged to
seek help.
 Collaborations with schools led to anti-
cyberbullying policies and peer support
programs.
 Negative Effects Observed:

 The campaign received backlash from some

online users, leading to occasional harassment
of the organizers.
 Managing the campaign alongside academic
responsibilities caused stress for the student
organizers.
 Limited resources made it challenging to
sustain and expand the campaign over time.
