2. If 4 times 4th term of an AP is equal to 18 times 18th term then find its 22nd term.
3. If (3y-1), (3y+5) and (5y+1) are three consecutive terms of an AP, find the value of y.
4. The sum of first three numbers in an AP is 3 and their product is -35. Find the numbers
5. If the pth term of an AP is q and the qth term is p prove that its nth term is (p+q-n).
6. The ratio of the sums of first m and the first n terms of an AP is m2 : n2 . Show that the ratio
of its mth and nth terms is (2m-1) : (2n-1).
7. If the sum of first n, 2n and 3n terms of an AP are S1, S2 and S3 respectively then prove that
S3 = 3( S2−S 1)
8. The sum of first three terms of an AP is 33. If the product of the first and the third term
exceeds the second term by 29, find the AP.
