5 Installation Notes
This section provides installation information, including prerequisites.

5.1 Prerequisites
Before you install OpenText IDM Client SP2 Patch, please ensure the following pre-requisites are
installed.

 IDM Client SP2 (20.1.75.1427)


 Microsoft Outlook 2010 (32-bit)
 .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

5.2 Installation Notes


 Download IDMClientSP2_Patch_20.1.100.zip from OpenText Knowledge Centre
(https://knowledge.opentext.com/).
 Extract the patch installer from the downloaded .zip file.
 Stop tttempcleansvc service in the Services Management Console
 For GUI installation, double click on the installer IDMClientSP2_Patch_20.1.100.exe and
follow on-screen steps to complete the installation.
 For Silent installation, open a command prompt (cmd) and navigate to the folder where the
IDMClientSP2_Patch_20.1.100.exe is extracted. Run the below command to run the installer
silently.

For example: if your extracted patch installer is in c:\temp folder, then from command
prompt run this C:\temp> IDMClientSP2_Patch_20.1.100.exe /s /v/qn

 For Silent installation with logging, run the following command:


IDMClientSP2_Patch_20.1.100.exe /s /v”/qn /l*v

<LogFolderPath>\<LogFileName.log>”

Where <LogFolderPath> is the location where log file is to be created and


<LogFileName.log> is the name of the log file.

 (Recommended) Restart MS Outlook 2010, if it is already in use.
