TEST 1: Writing Task 1 –

You would like to reduce your working hours in order to study part time.
Write a letter to your boss. In your letter
 Explain why you want to reduce your working hours
 Say which hours you would like to work
 Describe how your part-time studies would benefit your employer.
Answer:

Dear John,

I am writing to you to request you to reduce my current working hours. So that I can
devote more time to completing my part-time study on Gen AI. Which is currently the
most advanced technology and has the capability to be a winner for long-term too.

I would like to shift my working hours to second shift. Which is to say start post lunch and
finish by 10:00 pm. Thus, giving me enough time to attend part-time lectures and on-line
classes and revise before starting my professional engagement.

As a result of attending this course I would be able to get certified in GenAI. Which is
very sort after course in current time. Because there are multiple use cases in our day-
to-day life which can be simplified and automated using GenAI. I addition to this I have
identified, some business use case in our current ongoing project to utlising Co-Pilot
feature in MS-Office which is available for free.

Thank you for considering my request. I believe that the skills I gain will greatly benefit
our team in the long run.

Writing Task 2 –
More and more people nowadays visit well-known places to take photographs of
themselves, without looking at the place.

Why do you think this is happening?


Is it a positive or negative trend?

Answer:

We seek instant gratification and acknowledgement from others. This drives us so much
that we do not think about the consequences our actions. Even going to places which are
unknown terrains harms our safety.

I do not believe in seeking out places for taking photographs just for fun and ignoring
personal safety. We will focus on details on this in subsequent paragraphs.

To begin with, taking photographs is the most refreshing and effortless way to create
memories. We capture every moment to cherish it later when we browse through them.
We not only capture the scenic beauty of place but also associate it with its location and
surroundings. For example, while travelling on a train we capture the lush green
sceneries from trains entrance door. While capturing the outside beauty from moving
train if we are not careful then we might trip and fall. We have evidence of some many
individuals who lost their life while capturing photo of slippery terrains during rainy
season. Thus, mere drive of immediate recognition could cost us our dear life.

Having said that, one needs to be incredibly careful and cautious about the place to
choose to make a memory. Just following the crowd will land us in hazardous situations.
Not only that it would spoil our entire effort to enjoy the moment. Overall, while visiting a
well-known place we have ensure safety first before venturing out to take photographs.
Therefore, we can safely say that this growing trend of taking photographs in any well-
known places is not at all safe approach.

In conclusion, we can safely say that one needs to take the utmost care of safety and
well-being before be adventurous while taking photographs. It is quite evident that
though our intentions are pure fun and be in the moment. Nevertheless, safety is non-
negotiable at any point of time of us venturing out to well-known places. Thus, we need
to curb this growing negative trend by spreading safety awareness around any such
places.
