Sub-Committee Notification (Mission Abroad)

The Government of Pakistan has constituted a Sub-Committee under the Committee on Rationalizing Pakistan's Missions Abroad to analyze and recommend improvements for the country's missions. The Sub-Committee, led by Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, includes various additional secretaries and aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these missions in alignment with national interests. The Cabinet Division's Institutional Reforms Cell will provide secretarial support to the Sub-Committee.

a GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN, INSTITUTIONAL REFORMS CELL CABINET DIVISION, ISLAMABAD ee Islamabad, the 18" February, 2025 NOTIFICATION SUBJECT: CONSTITUTION OF SUB COMMITTEE UNDER COMMITTEE ON No. 1(203)/2024/CPRMA-IRC: In pursuance of notification no. 9-148/2024(1)- Min-II, dated 21* June, 2024, and as decided by the Committee on Rationalizing Pakistan's Missions Abroad in its meeting held on 15.2.2025, the following Sub-Committee is constituted with the Composition and Terms of Reference as under: Composition: i, Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, Member National Assembly Convener/Member ji, Additional Secretary, Interior Division Member iii, Additional Secretary, Commerce Division Member iv, Additional Secretary, Overseas Pakistani & HRD. Member vy. Additional Secretary, Ministry of Foreign A fairs Member vi, Additional Secretary, Finance Division Member vii, Additional Secretary, Information & Broadcasting Member viii. Joint Secretary, Institutional Reforms Cell, Cabinet Division Member/ Secretary Terms of Reference To assist the Committee on Rationalizing Pakistan’s Missions Abroad by formulating recommendations after detailed study and analysis as per the ToRs of the main Committee: i, Amalyse size and numbers of Pakistan’s Missions abroad in juxtaposition to iit iv. 2 3. ‘The Manager requirements, scope of work and socio-political and economic benefits for the country and recommend a plan for rationalizing the missions; Examine the functioning of missions with regards to purposes and futuristic role of these set ups aligned with national interest of the country; Suggest measures 10 improve efficiency of missions including internal structure of missions and station specific quantifiable performance targets; Any other issue relevant to scope of work assigned to the Committee ‘The Sub-committee may co-opt any expert/officer in aid of its assigament. ‘As and when required, Pakistani HoMs/ Ambassadors may be required 10 assist the proceedings of the sub-committee online.
