FAQ - Partner Sandbox Licenses

Q. If my business doesn’t have 25 users to actively use the Sandbox license, do the
users need to be allocated or can they just reside on our tenant?
A. We have chosen 25 users because of user limits within Lifecycle Services (LCS)—which is the
portal providing access to your Partner Sandbox environment. You do not need to assign
licenses for these users. This is a flat rate.
Q. When selecting my Sandbox license to purchase, there is a price per user per
month. Is this a flat rate?
A. Yes, the price per user per month (for example, $26 per user per month) is a flat rate for the
Sandbox license.

Q. How long will the price be valid?
A. In general, the price for the Sandbox license is valid until you cancel payment in the Office
admin portal. However, pricing may be subject to change at any time.
Q. When setting up the Sandbox environment, is there a specific tenant that should
be used?
A. You can use the offer on any Azure Active Directory (AAD) tenant of your choice. You can use
an existing tenant or create a new one. These offers are not allowed to be shared with
customers and should therefore never be on a customer AAD tenant.

Q. Are Sandbox environments available for Power Platform products?
A. We do not have explicit Partner Sandbox SKUs for Power Platform products. However, we do
offer a free developer ecosystem for Power Apps and Power Automate.
