Smart India Hackathon 2022 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some
of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a

innovation. The main aim behind this event is to unleash one's creativity by providing them a perfect
platform.

AIT conducted an internal institute level hackathon on 14 th March,2022 and 15th March,2022 for selection of
teams that are to be a part of SIH. The event was an offline event that encouraged students from all branches
of technology to explore ideas that were staged under the themes of SIH.Total 16 teams had actively
participated in it focusing on different solution areas that included

1) Medtech/HealthTech/Biotech
2) Smart Automation and Smart Vehicles
3) Smart Education
4) Renewable and sustainable energy
5) Agriculture and Rural Development
6) Safety and Security/NLP

The expert highlighted certain pros and cons of each respective project and asked them to improvise further
and come with a perfect end-product. After an efficient interaction, teams got encouraged to modify their
project and had the desired outcome.

The experts were quite impressed by the kind efforts of the teams and gave few virtuous suggestions to the
teams about how they can deploy their innovative projects and ideas in the actual market. Few teams had
amazing execution which impressed experts due to which they got an opportunity to work under the
guidance of experts. After hours of interaction and presentation, the final round of the hackathon came to
end with a successful note of AIT.

Feedback of Experts

Experts Name Feedback Given by the Experts

Mr. Dushyantsinh Screening projects in advance would give
Rathod the examiner a better quality product to
assess and also student’s ideas was very
impressive and innovative and all projects
based on SIH Domains

Mr.Chintan Nagrecha Management and organizing things was quite great.

However, I need to focus on a real problem
statement and not copy some existing solutions.
That will create real innovation. Even if it's domain
specific or for a small audience, if the solution is
solving some core problems, it will be more
meaningful.

Dr. Mohit Diwan Time Punctuality and Management was good

enough

Prof.Tanha Shah More focus on current methodology and latest

Student’s Feedback

● The hackathon held at Ahmedabad Institute of Technology was an amazing experience for me. We did
some intense coding, some problem solving and tried to formulate and deliver an end to end project.
The hackathon was a combination of speed hacking experience as well as the longer well-thought
approach of enhancing communication skills. It was a great initiative that helped many networks among
college students and enhanced their technical coding skills as well as soft skills. Thanks to all the
mentors in the hackathon.

● It was the first time when I participated in a hackathon rather than college level but we really enjoyed
the day. We were competing with almost 20+ teams for our selection. We code our programs, create
presentations and deliver them in front of juries, teachers and students. Teachers, students, volunteers
everyone was so much dedicated towards their work and at the end of the day we successfully
completed our college level hackathon.

● Our project idea was to support organic kitchen farming. So as our motive our project was named '
Home Agri-Buddy’. In this we provide information regarding how to grow seasonal crops via written
and audio-visual form with inbuilt notifier to provide notification.
