In August 2024, about $848 million was raised in the RE sector in India. The key investments during the month were:
o Fourth Partner Energy secured a $275 million investment from global impact investors IFC, ADB, and DEG. The company plans to utilize these funds for
business expansion, including a target portfolio of 3.5 GW renewable energy assets by 2026.
o Power Finance Corporation secured a loan of 25.5 billion Japanese yen ($173 million) from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). The funds will
finance a 300 MW wind energy project in Karnataka.
