TABLE OF CONTENTS
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This procedure covers the scope of commissioning work and certification of the Generator Circuit breaker (GCB) of
Rabigh Reinforcement Independent Power Plant.
2.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this commissioning procedures is:
1) To establish systematic identification methods for the system and subsystem components.
2) This identification includes checking physical condition and ensure equipment conformity with the project
requirements.
3) To confirm that the system parts of GCB are installed according to the project specifications.
4) To provide the methods and means for commissioning of this system thoroughly and safely within its design
boundaries.
5) Checking the system subsystem protection for safe and reliable operation.
3.0 SCOPE
3.1 The subsystems under the scope of this procedure are as followings:
1) Generator Circuit Breaker includes:

Secondary wiring shall be checked to ensure that all connections are made in accordance with the Schematic
drawing. Relays and other devices should be checked by actual operation, if feasible. Those circuits for which
operation is not feasible shall be checked for continuity. A check shall be made for the proper sequence of
operation of mechanically operated auxiliary switches and devices.
The DC resistance of the current-carrying circuit from terminal to terminal of each pole unit in the closed
position shall be measured with at least 100 A flowing in the circuit.
