1. What was the topic yesterday?

About dividing 2 to 3-digit numbers by 1 digit divisor
Very good!
Divide the following numbers. Use ‘’show me boards’’
1.) 15÷3=
2.) 20÷4=
3.) 36÷6=
4.) 50÷5
5.) 60÷6=
Answer:
1.) 5
2.) 5
3.) 6
4.) 10
5.)10
B. Establishing a purpose for the A school organized a sports game. A total of 150 pupils from
lesson 15 sections joined the event. Each section sent the same
number of players. How many players did each section send?
C. Presenting Examples/instances To find the number of players sent by each section, we divide
of new lesson 150 by 15
150÷15=? Or 15√ 150
For example, using a model
Divide 150 counters into 15 equal groups

150÷15=10
So, each section sent 10 players
D. Discussing new concepts and Let's try!
practicing new skills #1 Divide.
1. 14÷186
2. 22÷485
3. 90÷1440
Answer:
1. 13 r. 4
2. 22 r. 1
3. 16
E. Discussing new concepts and Let’s Practice!
practicing new skills #2 1) 12√ 240 2.) 14√ 168 3.)12√ 5 40

4.)15√ 1125 5.) 25√ 35 0

Answer:
1.20
2.12
3.45
4.75
5.14

F. Developing mastery (Leads to Let's go further!

Formative Assessment) Solve the problems. Show your solutions.
1. There are 4675 oranges packed in a box in our store.
Each box contains 25 oranges. How many boxes of
oranges are there?
2. Linda harvested 483 apples from her farm. Each apple
bore 21 fruits, how many apple trees did Linda. have
on her farm?
3. At the sale, Lenard bought a box of soap for 420 pesos.
The box contained 20 bars of soap. How much did
each bar of soap cost?
Answer:
1. 187 boxes of oranges
2. 23 apple trees
3. 21 pesos each

G. Finding Practical application of GROUP activity

concepts and skills The students will be grouped into 5 groups. The first group to
answer correctly and quickly will get 5 points
Find the quotient of the following:
1.)13÷578=
2.)16÷358=
3.)50÷8950=
4.)31÷2821=
5.) 52÷6656=
Answer:
1).44 r.6
2.)22r. 6
3.)179
4.)91
5.)128

Well, done class!!

H. Making Generalization and  To divide 3 to 4 digits by 2-digit numbers, divide the

abstraction about the lesson number starting from the highest place value.
 Follow the steps: divide, multiply, subtract, and bring
down the next digit to the right.
 Division is the reverse multiplication. Check the
answer by multiplying the quotient and the divisor.
Then, add the remainder if the quotient has
remainder. The answer must be equal to the dividend.
I. Evaluating Learning Find the quotient of the following. Solve it on your paper
Choose the letter of the correct answer.
1.)100÷10=?
a.15 b. 10 c. 5 d. none of the above
2.)5687÷85=?
a. 669 r. 5 b. 665 r. 4 c.660 r.5 d. none of the above

3.)448÷40=?
a. 10 r. 5 b.11 r.8 c. 15 r.5 d.10 r.8

4.)7203÷21=?
a.243 b. 354 c. 343 d. 144

5.)2016÷14=
a. 144 b. 244 c. 124 d. 444
Answers:
1. b
2. a
3. b
4. c
5. a

J. Additional activities for Divide and check your answer.
