1.0 Introduction
The Universiti of Selangor’s Mobile Legends event was organized by Event
Management’s students to engage students and external participants in the e-sports
community, promoting teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital literacy. The event
provided an inclusive platform where students and outsiders could compete in a
professional yet fun environment, fostering unity and a spirit of friendly competition.

With the growing popularity of e-sports, this event aimed to bridge the gap between
university gamers and the broader gaming community, offering exposure to different
levels of competitive play. This report provides a comprehensive review of the event,
outlining objectives, responsibilities, challenges, and recommendations for future
improvements.

1.1 Objectives of the Program


 To provide students and external participants with a competitive e-sports
platform.
 To enhance teamwork, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.
 To create a platform for students to showcase their gaming skills and compete
for attractive prizes.
 To develop event management skills among organizing committees.

1.2 CLOs for Programs Being Achievable


 CLO 1: Develop organizational skills in managing a large-scale esports event.
 CLO 2: Enhancement of technological skills and e-sports understanding.
 CLO 3: Utilize problem-solving skills in addressing challenges that arose
during the event.
 CLO 4: Efficiently manage the event’s finances, including budgeting and
accounting for all expenditures.
 CLO 5 : Apply marketing strategies to promote the event and engage
participants.
2.0 Event Details

2.1 Date, Time, Venue, Participants


 Date: 6 February 2025
 Time: 8 AM - 7 PM
 Venue: PRO CHANSELLOR HALL
 Participants: Over 86 participants, including 16 teams of 5 and 6 players each.
The event was open to all students and outsiders.

2.2 Bureau Responsibility and Task


Program Director

 Overseeing the overall planning and execution of the event.


 Coordinating with all bureaus to ensure smooth operations.
 Making high-level decisions regarding event structure and implementation.
 Addressing any major challenges or issues during the event.
 Ensuring the event meets its objectives and aligns with the university’s
policies.

Player Bureau

1. Team Management:

• Verified the registered teams and player rosters before the tournament began.

• Assisted in placing teams into the correct tournament brackets based on the
official match schedule.

• Ensured that players adhered to tournament rules and guidelines.

2. Custom Room Creation & Match Setup:

• Created and managed custom game rooms for each match.

• Configured game settings to match official tournament standards.

• Sent invitations to players for each scheduled match.


3. In-Game Monitoring:

• Monitored matches to ensure fair play and adherence to Mobile Legends’


esports rules.

• Reported any technical issues or rule violations to the event management team.

4. Communication & Coordination:

• Acted as the primary liaison between teams and tournament officials.

• Provided live updates on match schedules, results, and upcoming games.

• Assisted players with any inquiries or issues before, during, and after
matches.Managed all registered teams and ensured they followed the tournament
rules.

3.0 Recommendation for Improvement

3.1 Challenges Faced Throughout the Event


 Technical Issues: Network interruptions and game crashes.
 Participant Coordination: Delays due to late arrivals.
 Crowd Management: Managing the large number of attendees and ensuring a
smooth flow of people in and out of the venue was a logistical challenge.

3.2 Solutions Taken for Each Challenge Faced


 Technical Issues: Backup internet and sponsors of Unifi were prepared for all
players.
 Participant Coordination: Clear communication channels and reminders
were implemented.
 Crowd Management: The registration bureau implemented a clear, visible
sign-in area with designated entry and exit points to prevent congestion.

3.3 Recommendation for Improvement


 Secure a stable internet connection with a backup plan.
 Implement stricter registration and attendance policies.
 Conduct a pre-event test run to identify potential technical issues.
 Engage more sponsors for better funding and support.
