Important Guidelines
This form is for HSSC private candidates who wish to enrol as a private candidate, re-appear for improvement, re-take
failed or missed subjects or take any additional subjects in the Annual Examinations 2025.

Note for private candidates:

Any student can enroll as a private candidate in Science group for AKU-EB if agree to the following condition:
1. The preparation of practical and portfolio is solely the responsibility of the candidate. Examination Board
would only be responsible for the conduct of practical examination.
2. The purpose of the portfolio is to ascertain that the candidate has performed those practical and is used to the
laboratory safety and security guidelines along with the handling of the equipment.
3. The portfolio needs to be attested by any institution where he/she has conducted these practical.
4. The examination center (practical and theory) will be allocated nearby the residence based on the availability
of the center. However, examination centers can be anywhere in Pakistan.
If you agree to the above clauses, you can opt for any group choice at HSSC level from the Aga Khan University
Examination Board.

• The deadline for the submission of this form (hard copies) without late fee, at AKU-EB Karachi Office is Thursday,
October 31, 2024. After this deadline, late fee penalties would be applicable as per details given on page 4 of this
form.
• The provisional timetable for Annual Examinations 2025 has been uploaded on the website:
https://examinationboard.aku.edu. Please keep visiting our website and Facebook page for the updates.
• All fields on this form are mandatory. Incomplete registration form (e.g., missing original fee deposit slip or copy of
result slip etc.) will also not be accepted.
• For new enrolment, kindly enter personal details as per birth certificate/ B-Form.

*During allocation of examination centre, choice mentioned on this form will be considered. However, AKU-EB reserves the right
to add or remove exam centres from the above list without giving any reason. The students will be informed prior for any changes
made in the exam centre location.

List of Subjects offer in HSSC:

• Please mark (✓) the subject carefully and clearly. Any request for change in subject received after registration
form has been submitted, will not be entertained.
• For new enrolment (private), please select subjects for both parts (part I & part II) along with medium. However,
fee will be applicable for only part I subjects.
• For Part-II/ ex-candidates, there is no need to select medium. Subject medium will remain same as selected at
the time of enrolment. However, if any change is required, please submit “application form for enrolled subject/
medium amendment” available on our website along with the applicable fee and registration form. All relevant
details are available on the form.
• Only non-Muslim candidates can be registered for Ethics in lieu of Islamiyat.
• Candidate who has not been in Pakistan for three consecutive years can be registered for Pakistan Culture in lieu
of Urdu Compulsory subject to submission of required documents and Board’s approval.
• Candidates from Interior Sindh may appear in “Urdu Aasan” in HSSC Part I and in “Sindhi” in Part II.
• If there are overlapping subjects on the timetable, please clearly specify the conflicts to AKU-EB so necessary
adjustments can be made before exams.

Note: If part-II candidate re-sits for any failed subject or want to improve a subject of part-I, he/ she will be required to
pay the subject. He/ she will NOT required to pay a separate exam registration fee (Rs. 4,000/). The exam registration
fee is applicable only for ex-candidates.

 Important Note:
• AKU-EB students must mention their Enrolment ID and Name on HBL’s deposit slip.
• The deposit slip (original)/ Pay Order must be sent to AKU-EB office along with application form and
documents.

Notes:
• Duly filled registration form along with required documents and processing fee must reach at below mentioned
address before the deadline of Thursday, October 31, 2024.
• Registration will be finalized upon receiving of physical registration form along with required original Pay
Order/ original HBL’s deposit slip.
• Please provide proof of the online transfer if the fee has been paid electronically.
• Soft copy of application form sent via email will not be accepted in any circumstance.
• Any discrepancies in registered subject(s) or assigned examination centre must be communicated/ reported to
AKU-EB Karachi Office at least ten (10) working days prior to the commencement of examination.

• There is no refund policy against the submission of registration form.
• AKU-EB examination fee cannot be transferred from one exam session to another and/ or from one candidate
to another and not re-adjusted with any other services.

Checklist for submission of registration form:

Please submit the complete registration form (hard copy) along with the following items to the mailing address below:
 One recent passport size (2 x 2 inch) photograph
 Clear copy of verified Birth Certificate and B–Form (for new enrolment only)
 Original Pay Order/HBL’s original deposit slip/ proof of the online transfer
 Surrender Original migration certificate, if issued by AKU-EB

For part-I candidates:

 Photocopy of the SSC consolidated result slip issued by AKU-EB.
 Original Equivalency Certificate issued by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) for candidates
completed O-level or any other international qualification equivalent to SSC.
 Original migration certificate for all candidates who completed their SSC qualifications from any Board other
than AKU-EB.

 Candidate Admit Card and Examination Centre Information:
The Admit Card and information about the examination venue information will be provided to candidates two week
prior to the start of the examination session. The examination centre & papers related information will be available on
front side of the Admit Card, however other instructions related to examinations would be available on the back side
of Admit Card.
Disclaimer:
The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) shall take necessary measures to ensure examinations and
other activities are conducted as scheduled; however, in case of any disruption caused by circumstances beyond its
control, AKU-EB reserves the right to cancel, postpone and/ or delay the said examinations/ activities, and reschedule
them in a manner that AKU-EB may deem appropriate. That, except to the extent of rescheduling of examination/
activities, AKU-EB shall not be liable in any manner for not holding the examinations/ activities as scheduled for the
reasons stated above.
