What is
Website
01 What is Website?

In simpler terms, a website is a collection of electronic documents

called webpages that are all connected. These webpages are
stored on a special computer and accessed over the internet using
a web browser. Think of it as a digital space with specific
information or a purpose, like a news organization's online edition or
a clothing store with an online catalog.

What is Domain ?

Domain: Your Spot on the Internet

In simple terms, a domain is like your unique address on the internet. Just as
your home address helps people find your house, a domain helps people find your
website.

Why do we need domains?

Imagine if we had to remember a long string of numbers to find a website. That
would be tough! Domains make it easier for us to navigate the web.
What is Domain ?
Websites are identified by domain names (e.g., www.example.com),
which users enter to access specific sites.

03 Types of Websites

1. Static Website
• A static website is a type of website that
presents fixed content to the user, and
its content remains the same for every
visitor. In other words, the information
displayed on static websites doesn't
change based on user interactions or
input.

2. Dynamic Website
 dynamic website is one that adjusts its
content based on various factors, like the
user, time of day, or device. Imagine a
website that shows you the latest news
headlines instead of the same static content
for everyone. That's dynamic!

3. E – commerce Website
• An e-commerce website is basically an online store.
It's a website that allows you to buy and sell things
over the internet, instead of going to a physical store.
Imagine Amazon or any other online store you
frequent - that's an e-commerce website! These
websites let you browse products, add them to a
virtual shopping cart, and then pay for them
securely using your debit card or other online
payment methods. The seller then arranges to
deliver the products to your doorstep..
