Job Summary

The PP Woven Sacks Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and
repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the production of polypropylene (PP) woven
sacks. This role ensures uninterrupted operation of machinery, adherence to safety standards, and
compliance with electrical codes to support efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Maintenance & Repair


o Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of production machinery
(e.g., extruders, circular looms, lamination machine, cutter machine, printing
machines, stitching machines etc).
o Perform preventive maintenance on motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors, and
wiring systems.
o Address electrical faults, power outages, and equipment malfunctions promptly to
minimize downtime.
2. Installation & Upgrades
o Install new electrical systems, circuits, and machinery as required for production
expansion or upgrades.
o Collaborate with engineers to commission automated systems and ensure proper
integration with existing equipment.
3. Safety & Compliance
o Follow electrical safety protocols (e.g., lockout-tagout, arc flash prevention) and
adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
o Conduct routine inspections to identify fire hazards, exposed wiring, or unsafe
electrical practices.
4. Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
o Report recurring electrical issues and recommend long-term solutions to
management.
5. Collaboration & Support
o Work closely with production, mechanical maintenance, and quality teams to
resolve cross-functional issues.
o Train operators on basic electrical safety and equipment handling.
6. Continuous Improvement
o Suggest upgrades to electrical systems for energy efficiency or improved machine
performance.
o Stay updated on advancements in industrial electrical systems and automation
technologies.

Qualifications

 Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician


apprenticeship program or technical certification in electrical systems.
 Experience:
o 3+ years as an industrial electrician, preferably in PP woven sacks, plastics, or
packaging manufacturing.
o Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs (variable frequency drives), and
automated production machinery.
 Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
o Knowledge of three-phase power systems, motor controls, and troubleshooting
techniques.
o Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, NEC) and industrial electrical tools
(multimeters, meggers).
 Certifications:
o Licensed Electrician (preferred).
 Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work under
pressure.
 Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift up to 20 kg, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended
periods.
o Comfortable working in a noisy, high-temperature manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

 Manufacturing plant with exposure to machinery, dust, and moderate noise levels.
 PPE (safety glasses, insulated gloves, steel-toe boots) mandatory.
 Occasional overtime or emergency call-ins to address critical equipment failures
