i) Using the properties of proportion, solve:

a) the consumer's cost price of the laptop, inclusive of tax
b) the GST paid by the retailer to the Central and State governments.

iii) Use a graph paper for this question. The points A(2 , 3) , B ( 4 , 5) and C ( 7, 2 ) are
the vertices of ∆ABC. (Take scale 1cm = 1 unit on both the axes)
a) Write down the co-ordinates of A’, B’, C’ if ∆ A’ B’ C’ is the image of ∆ABC when
reflected in the origin.
b) Write down the coordinates of A”, B”, C” if ∆ A” B” C” is the image of ∆ABC when
reflected in the x - axis.

i) 3, 9 , m , 81 and n are in continued proportion, find the value of m and n.

ii) A two digit positive number is such that the product of its digits is 6. If 9 is added to
the number, the digits interchange their places. Find the number.

iii) Use ruler and compasses for the following question taking a scale of 10 m = 1cm.
A park in a town is bounded by 4 straight fences PQ, QR, RS and SP. PQ= 75m,
QR =62m and ∠𝑃𝑄𝑅 = 105𝑜 . Locate the point S using the conditions given. (a) S is
equidistant from the corners of the park P and Q (b) S is equidistant from fences
PQ and QR. Construct the outline of the park PQRS. Also locate a point X inside the
park on SQ for the flag post which is 40 m from the corner S. What is the actual
distance of the flag post X from the corner Q?
