About ToutApp + Salesforce


ToutApp is a cloud-based application designed to seamlessly work right from your browser regardless of which Email System or CRM your company uses. For Salesforce users, ToutApp has built a deep integration into the platform so that users of both systems can seamlessly send emails and track analytics right from inside of Salesforce.

The rest of this guide will walk you through setting up ToutApp and Salesforce. This includes: Installing the ToutApp AppExchange package into your Salesforce organization Setting up a ToutApp account for yourself Inviting others on your team into ToutApp Sending your rst Email with ToutApp

Installation Guide
Install ToutApp from AppExchange
1. Go to the ToutApp listing on Salesforce.coms AppExchange: http://toutapp.com/appexchange 2. Click on Get It Now 3. When prompted with the Terms and Conditions, review, check the box and hit Install when you are ready.

4. Review the package details and click on Continue

5. ToutApp uses the Salesforce API to sync your Contacts data. Approve the API Access and hit Next

6. Set the security level to Grant access to all users and then click Next ToutApp maintains its own security access to your data. For this particular screen, we recommend granting access to all users since it only denes access to the ToutApp button, not any of the specic ToutApp email data.

7. Youre now ready to install the package, so click on Install

8. Great! Now that the package is installed, the next section will walk you through on conguring your ToutApp account.

Set up your ToutApp Account


1. Now, well connect Salesforce to your ToutApp account. If you already have a ToutApp account, make sure you are logged in (from another tab). If you dont, dont worry about it, the next step will handle setting up a new account for you. 2. Ready? click on Congure so that you can link Salesforce to your ToutApp account. 3. When prompted, click on Allow so that ToutApp can connect to your Salesforce organization.

4. If you already have a ToutApp account, youll now be taken into ToutApp conrming that your account has been connected. If you are a new ToutApp user, youll see a screen like the one below which will walk you through setting up your account:

5. Once your account is set up and connected, you can now set up the ToutApp tab and buttons in your Salesforce organization. Well show you how in the next section.

Set up Email Tab and Buttons in Salesforce


In this section, well show you how to add the Tout Outbox tab and the Email with Tout button into Salesforce so that you can seamlessly use ToutApp without leaving Salesforce. 1. Inside of Salesforce, click on your Name, and then click on Setup.

2. Next, well customize the layout of your Leads page and add the custom button called Email with Tout -- to do that, click on Customize, then click on Leads, and then click on Page Layouts. From there, choose the Layout that you use and click Edit.

3. Then, click on Buttons, and then drag the Email with Tout button into the Custom Buttons section. Once youre done, click Save in the top toolbar.

4. Now that the Leads layout is done, you can do the same for the Contacts layout by following the same steps.

5. Now, well go in and add the Tout Outbox tab. Click on the Plus sign to the right of your Tab area.

6. Then click on Customize my Tabs

7. From the list of Available Tabs, choose Tout Outbox, then click the Right arrow button so that it appears under Selected Tabs. Then, click on Save.

8. Youll now have Email with Tout buttons and a Tout Outbox tab in Salesforce, which will allow you to seamlessly email your Contacts and Leads without having to leave Salesforce. Also, as you send these emails out, Tout will automatically update Salesforce with your Email Activity.

Invite your Team Members into ToutApp


Not only does ToutApp help you supercharge your Sales/BizDev emails, it also helps you share templates and analytics with your team members and supercharge their emails as well. Here is how you can invite your team members to use ToutApp with you: 1. Log into your ToutApp account at http://toutapp.com/pitches 2. Click on Team in the top navigation area

3. Enter the email address of each team member youd like to invite. They will receive an email and will be able to sign up for ToutApp from there.

Using ToutApp in Salesforce


Send your rst Email from Salesforce
In this section, well walk you through sending your rst ToutApp-enabled email from Salesforce. 1. Go into a Contact or Lead that youd like to Email 2. Click on the Email with Tout button

Track your Emails


Tout allows two ways for you to track the Emails youve sent and where they are in the process. The rst way is to use the Tout Outbox. To get to it, just click on the Tout Outbox tab in Salesforce.

The second way is to use the Live Email Activity Feed (TM). Click on the Live Feed link in the top navigation of the Tout Outbox to get to it. The Live Activity Feed shows you in Real-Time when your sales prospects view and click on your emails. Weve been told this is a fantastic way of knowing when to follow up with Sales Prospects. When a prospect you emailed two weeks ago nally gets around to viewing your email, it is a great time to follow up with a phone call.

Tweak your Email Signature


We highly recommend you have a full featured email signature that includes your name, title, company and a link to your website. The more the better. It not only reduces the likelihood of your emails getting caught in Spam, it also increases the engagement around your emails. Tout has a very easy to use Email Signature builder that lets you ll out the pertinent information. To set up your signature: 1. Log into your account at ToutApp: http://toutapp.com/pitches 2. Click on Settings from the top navigational area 3. Under Identity and Email Signatures, click Edit next to the Identity youd like to edit. You can have multiple Identities in your Tout Account.

4. You can now just ll out the pertinent elds using our Email Signature builder, or you can uncheck the Automatically generate an Email Signature for me button to customize it for yourself.

Please note that although we do include a mention of Tout in your Email Signature by default, it is by no means required. Youre welcome to remove it.

View Reports based on your Email Activity


Not only does ToutApp give you tracking and analytics on individual emails, it also generates interesting insights across your team and across your templates based on the individual email data. To view the statistics associated with the templates you are using, click on Tout Outbox, and then from the top navigation area, click on Templates. Over here, youll see an overview of how many times different templates has been used and which ones are performing the best.
