WHAT ARE NOUNS?

A noun is a word that


names something,
such as a person,
place, thing, or idea.
For Example-
Cat, bicycle, Hong
Kong, Salman Khan
TYPES OF NOUNS
ABSTRACT NOUNS
An abstract noun is used to refer to
concepts, ideas, experiences, traits,
feelings or entities that cannot be
seen, heard, tasted, smelt or touched.

They are nouns that refer to an idea or


a general quality, not to a physical
object
We cannot see, hear, touch, or smell these concepts-

They can
only be felt or
experienced.
