SOIL: Soil is unconsolidated particles of fine rock material that covers the
surface of the earth.

Factors affecting soil formation

Degradation:
Any change in the land that reduces its condition or quality and hence its
productive potential is called degradation.
Conservation:
Protection of resources or Using resources judiciously and giving them time to
get renewed is called conservation. The ways includes- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,
Refuse.
