**Statement of Purpose**

The escalating challenges of global inequality, climate crises, and geopolitical

fragmentation have underscored the urgent need for skilled professionals who can
design inclusive, evidence-based policies. My undergraduate studies in
International Relations and hands-on experiences in cross-cultural collaboration
have solidified my resolve to contribute to this field. Pursuing a Master’s in
International Public Affairs at Central Europe University(CEU) will equip me with
the advanced analytical tools and practical expertise to address systemic global
issues effectively.

My BSc in International Relations provided a robust foundation for understanding

the interplay of political, economic, and social forces shaping global governance.
Courses such as *Global Political Economy* and *Conflict Resolution* deepened my
grasp of policy formulation, while my research on the role of Regional Grouping.
For my project, I analyzed the Consequences of Overlapping Regional Organization in
Central Africa. I analyze how countries belonging to more than one regional block
are affected by conflicting policies in their regional grouping. This academic
journey sparked my curiosity about how data-driven decision-making and stakeholder
collaboration can bridge these gaps—a curiosity I aim to expand through graduate
study.

Professionally, I have sought opportunities to engage directly with policy

challenges. As an intern at the NGO Alliance for Community Initiatives, I
contributed to a report on sustainable development in South West Cameroon,
compiling data on local governance structures and their alignment with UN
Sustainable Development Goals. This experience highlighted the importance of
grassroots perspectives in shaping scalable policies. Later, as an intern with
Limbe City Council, I supported advocacy campaigns for climate justice,
collaborating with NGOs and policymakers to draft policy briefs on renewable energy
transitions. These roles taught me the value of interdisciplinary approaches and
the need to balance political feasibility with ethical imperatives in public
affairs.

The Master’s in International Public Affairs at CEU is the ideal program to advance
my goals. Its focus on quantitative policy analysis aligns with my aim to
strengthen my econometric and data visualization skills, while courses like Public
Policy Analysis, Government and Public Administration, Quantitative method for
Public Policy, etc will deepen my understanding of global governance innovations. I
am particularly drawn to the Research /Initiative, where I hope to contribute to
projects on climate adaptation or humanitarian policy. Additionally, the program’s
emphasis on experiential learning through practicums and simulations will allow me
to test theoretical frameworks in real-world scenarios.

Post-graduation, I aspire to work as a policy advisor for an international

organization such as UNDP or the World Bank, focusing on climate resilience or
migration governance. I aim to design policies that not only address immediate
crises but also foster long-term systemic equity. The program’s global network and
mentorship opportunities will be invaluable in preparing me for this path.

My academic rigor, professional experiences, and unwavering commitment to ethical

global governance have prepared me to thrive in this program. I am eager to learn
from CEU’s distinguished faculty and peers and to contribute my perspectives as
someone passionate about turning policy theory into actionable, equitable
solutions. Thank you for considering my application.
