PROJECT PHY

The document is a physics project file by Amogh Singh on the topic of Electromagnetic Induction, submitted to Mr. Yogesh at SKD Academy. It covers the discovery by Faraday in 1831, the principles of electromotive force (EMF), and includes an action plan, evidence from experiments, required materials, and precautions for conducting experiments. The project emphasizes the relationship between changing magnetic fields and induced voltage in conductors.

Acknowledgement
It was discovered by Faraday in
1831. It is a current produced due to
voltage production due to changes in
magnetic effect.
STATEMENT OF
PURPOSE
It produces a voltage or EMF
(Electromotive Force) across the
electrical conductor.

Action Plan
Whenever a conductor in a
varying magnetic field, an
electromotive force is induced. If
the conductor circuit is closed, a
current is induced, which is called
induced current.
Evidences
1.In the first experiment Faraday
Proved that when the strength of
magnetic field is varied, only then the
current is induced.
2.In the second experiment he
proved that passing a current through
an iron rod would make it
electromagnetic.
3.In third experiment he recorded
that the galvanometer did not show
any deflection and no induced current
was produced in the coil when the coil
was kept in stationary magnetic field.

Induction
Material Required
To perform
Electromagnetic Induction
1. Bar Magnet
2. Copper Wire
3. Galvanometer
Procedure To Perform
Electromagnetic Induction
To perform it put a conductor
in a particular position and
magnetic field keeps varying or
magnetic field is stationary and
a conductor is moving. This
produces a Voltage or Emf
(Electromotive Force) across
the electrical conductor.

Precautions
1. Do not set up
experiment near taps,
sink or water.
2. Do not exceed current
of
1A.
3. Switch the current
between the readings.
Student Reflection

This is because the voltage

production due to a change in
magnetic field.
Bibliography
If relative motion existed
between conductor and a
magnetic field, the flux linkage
with the coil changes and the
changed flux produces a voltage
across a coil.
