Group Work Task: Case Study Development

Objective: Students will conduct interviews with retail owners, supervisors/managers, and staff
to prepare a comprehensive case report and presentation on the following topics:

1. Leadership styles and management techniques


2. Staff training and development
3. Customer service strategies
4. Challenges faced by retail staff and management
5. Financial management and profitability
6. The impact of e-commerce on traditional retail

Duration: Approximately 50 minutes

Group Size: 6 students

Task Overview:

1. Assign Roles: Within each group of 6 students, assign the following roles:
o Interview Coordinator: Responsible for scheduling and conducting interviews
with retail stakeholders.
o Data Analyst: Responsible for compiling and analyzing the interview data.
o Writer: Responsible for drafting the case report.
o Presentation Designer: Responsible for creating the PowerPoint presentation.
o Presenter 1: Responsible for presenting the first half of the PowerPoint
presentation.
o Presenter 2: Responsible for presenting the second half of the PowerPoint
presentation.
2. Conduct Interviews: The Interview Coordinator will schedule and conduct interviews
with retail owners, supervisors/managers, and staff. Each group member should
participate in at least one interview.
3. Analyze Data and Prepare Case Report: The Data Analyst and Writer will work
together to analyze the interview data and prepare a comprehensive case report
addressing the specified topics.
4. Create Presentation: The Presentation Designer will create a PowerPoint presentation to
showcase the group's findings and recommendations.
5. Present Findings: The two Presenters will take turns presenting the group's case study to
the class.
