1. Why do you want to study in the UK? *


2. WHY CHOOSE UK?

Universities in the UK are known worldwide for their excellent


academic programs.
UK is affordable country for international students as compared to other
countries.
UK offers decent scholarship for international students.
UK provides a short and flexible course, the duration of master degrees
in UK is short as compared to other countries.
Acquiring a degree in MSc Project Management from a respectable UK
university can boost my credibility and lead to global opportunities.
Furthermore, the UK offers a high quality of life, excellent healthcare,
public services, and a well-developed infrastructure.

3. What are the benefits of studying in the UK compared to your


home country or other countries? *

Reasons for not selecting Home country:


1. The duration of the same course is longer than in Pakistan, it is 2 years whereas
in the UK it is one year and it will be a huge benefit for me to complete the course
within one year so that I can start my career soon.
2. In Pakistan courses are given theoretical importance and practical knowledge
is not in focus.

3. Also in Pakistan, it is difficult for students to improve language skills in


English but studying at UK universities will be useful to improve my language
skills.
Reasons for not selecting other countries:

Germany – There will be a language barrier if I choose Germany, as the


local language is an important factor while adjusting to an international
destination.
If I talk about Canada – There can be the issue of delayed visa process, and
harsh weather conditions, as weather plays an essential role in the adjustment
when you’re traveling in a foreign country for the first time.
4. How did you choose which university to study at in the UK? *
Why this university UWS?

I have selected UWS and I’ll study at UWS London campus. Because of
several reasons:
UWS is ranked in the top 800 universities worldwide.The university has got a
silver Award in Teaching Excellence framework.
This university provides inclusive higher education, career relevant, alongside
innovative, internationally recognized research.
Every year at the University of the West of Scotland, they welcome hundreds of
international students into their vibrant and diverse academic community.
I found out that 90% of students are satisfied with university facilities and life.
Their active teaching staff are dedicated to making a real difference to the
world, developing innovative technologies and shaping their society.

5. Why have you chosen to study at this university? Which other


universities did you consider? *

Upon researching for universities, I considered two other universities;


Birmingham City University and BPP University. I decided to enroll at UWS because
of its distinctive modules, which align with my professional goals and offer a relevant
approach to project management education.
In addition to my learning experience, I will be able to apply my skills in professional
settings once I graduate.

5. Do you know roughly how large the university is? *

UWS has expanded its London campus, now housed in an impressive new
docklands facility. With a student body of over 21,000,
The University attracts individuals from more than 70 countries, spread across
its five campuses.
1. Ayr, 2. Dumfries, 3. Lanark shire, 4. Paisley, and 5. Docklands London
campus.

6. What facilities do you expect there to be at your chosen university?

A good university typically has a wide range of facilities to support the


academic, social and personal needs of its students, faculty and staff. Some of
the most common facilities found in a good university include, libraries, gym,
class rooms and lecture halls, and a cafeteria that offers hygienic food options.
7. Do you know anyone who has studied at your chosen university?
No, I don’t know anyone who has studied at UWS.

8. Why did you choose to study this course and how does it relate to your
previous study? *
Why MSc project management?

Well recently, I done my bachelors in Management programs and it’s my


relevant field that’s why I choose project management.
I have even studied Project Management as one of the courses in my 8th
semester. However, this MSc Project Management has modules which can help
me learn new skills and upgrade the old ones.
There are modules relating to Project Risk Management and Sustainability &
Organizational Strategy which definitely will help me in my career.
There is a High Demand for a graduate who took Masters in project
management in Pakistan and other countries.
So, I believe that if I choose this course it will be beneficial for me and it will
help me a lot in Future.

9. What qualification will you receive? *


what is the course structures and contents?

My course is composed of one year and has 1 core module that is:
1. Project Management Fundamentals (20 credits)
I will have to select a further 80 credits optional modules includes:
1. Case studies in project management (20 credits)
2. Projects in practice (20 credits)
3. Postgraduate Research Methods (20 credits)
5. Project Risk Management (20 credits)
6. Sustainability & Organizational Strategy (20 credits)
7. Change Management and Leadership (20 credits)

The final compulsory module includes: (60 credits)

10. How will your course be taught & assessed? *

Course duration will span 12 months as a full time on campus program. Student
assessments will include:
Work assignments, unseen examinations, oral presentations, Practical’s, written
exams, and final MSc dissertation.
11. How long does your course last? *

Duration of my course is 1 year / 12 months.

12. How will the course you have chosen help you in your chosen career
path? *

The knowledge and applications of project management techniques and tools


are not limited to projects. It increases the productivity of your work, leading to
higher chances for promotion. It will also give me a competitive edge in a
dynamic job market. Project Management is definitely a good career with high
salaries and plenty of variety at work.

13. Do you know what level your course is? *

Yes I know, the level of my course is Level 7.

14. Did you consider studying any other course? *


What your future plans/Do you have to work in Uk ater your Studies?

No, after completing my master’s degree, I will come back to my beloved


country Pakistan. With a degree in MSc Project Management, And Start my
career as a project manager in multinational companies in Pakistan.

15. After you have completed your course do you think you will stay in the
UK to complete another higher level course of study? *

No, I’ll not stay in the UK, after completing my MSc degree.

16. Will you need help finding accommodation? *

I have searched for accommodation at the website amberstudent.com.


I have found a student accommodation called iQ East Court London located at
Mile End Rd, London, United Kingdom. The postal code is E1 4GG.
It costs around 300£ per week.
It is 2.9 miles away from the university campus.
It will take about 54 minutes by walk
37 minutes by bus to reach the campus.
17. Can you explain any gaps in your years of study or work? *
I have recently graduated in September 2024.

18. Does your university have a meet and greet service?*

Yes, UWS has a meet and greet service.

19. Do you understand what your responsibilities will be as a Tier 4


student? *
Yes, I know my responsibilities are academic engagement, maintaining
enrollment, immigration rules, financial requirements, visa reporting, healthcare,
and working restrictions.

20. What is your current occupation (if currently employed)? *

No, I am not currently employed.

21. Do you have relatives who have studied at a similar level or have studied
overseas? *

No, I don’t have any relatives in the UK. I am the first who will go abroad for
my studies.

22. Do you think your course is appropriate for someone of your age?*

Yes, this is an appropriate course for me as well as my peers. According to me,


age doesn’t matter for learning skills and also gaining knowledge.

23. Who is financing your studies? *

My father is financing my studies.

24. What is the profession of your financial sponsor and what relationship
are they to you? *

My father owns a business of real estate and a handsome salary of £3000


monthly and yearly £36000.

Yes, I have evidence of the financial status of my father.

Yes. My total fee is about £15,500. I will have to pay the full amount before the
CAS issuance.

Yes, I am aware that estimated living costs up to 9 months in the UK are
approximately 13,347 pounds. As per UK government policy, we are required to
13,347 pounds available for accommodation and living expenses if studying in
London.
This is equivalent to 1,483 pounds per month for up to 9 months.
For outside London the required amount is around 10,224 pounds, equivalent to
1,136 pounds per month up to 9 months.

31. Do you know whether you are entitled to work part - time in the UK?*

I will not work while studying.

Yes, 20 hours per week

My main aim is to get an education from the UK. I’ll not focus on working.
