Speaking part 1 (3 – 4 minutes)


A short Personal Information questions exchange between you and the examiner.
Here is a list of general information questions to help you prepare.
- What’s your name?
- What’s your last name? (family name)
- How do you spell your last name?
- How old are you?
- What is your nationality?
- Where do you live?
- Are you a student?
- Do you work or are you a student?
- What do you do/ study?
- Are you married? Have you got a boyfriend/girlfriend?
- Do you enjoy studying English? Why? Why not?
- Do you think that English will be useful for you in the future?
- Have you got any brothers or sisters?
- Have you got any children?
- How do you get to school/work?
- How long does it take to come to school?
- Tell me about your day at school/college.
- Tell me about your family.
- What are your favorite foods?
- What are your hobbies?
- What are your plans after school/work?
- What did you do yesterday / last weekend?
- What do you do in your spare time?
- What do you study? What are your favorite subjects?
- What’s your job? / What do you do?
- Do you like watching sports on TV?
Speaking part 2 (5 – 6 minutes)
You will be given some cards with images/ideas or information on them.
In pairs, you have to ask and answer questions about what you can see on the cards.
