HELP SUPPORT LEARNING? WHY ?

Adult role - Modelling always to


the children. Week commencing 18th-22nd March Easter Fun
Easter. Making Easter card and chocolate nest. Easter activities.

Topic – Easter Fun. Sign of the week – Rabbit/Bunny, Chick. Stories to share- Brenda’s boring egg (Twinkl)
and other stories. Sue Hendra stories from Mrs Dade. Props for Norman the slug with no shell. Songs
to sing- Five little ducks went swimming one day, 2D shape song, hop little bunny song and other
nursery rhymes. Maths – Sorting the Easter eggs so they have the correct number to the correct
amount. Shape songs. Weighing eggs. Fine motor- Feed Easter bunny the carrots. UW- Bug hunting.
Being kind and gentle, looking after the world around us. Care and concern for the environment. Talk
about signs of spring. Creative – Easter play dough fun, Make Easter chicks, finger print eggs, Junk
modelling fun, Bunny hat Mark making – Using carrots to paint with, Plastic eggs painting, In sand, salt, white
boards, paint, clipboards to draw Easter eggs. Painting daffodils. Phonics – Alliteration, rhythm, rhyme, and
instrumental sounds, oral blending and segmenting ICT – Can you draw flowers on the interactive whiteboard?
Can you draw your super friends? Role Play – Home corner and Easter shop. Light box – Decorating Easter eggs.
Cutting skills – Carefully cut along the line to crack the Easter egg. Physical development - Easter gross motor
game. Can you hop, jump, skip, stomp like a rabbit?

have green rice with flowers to encourage
pouring in different containers (Full, empty,

- Garden centre in wooden shed. Flowers, plant pots, tills, seeds, baskets. Have fun
buying plants and plant our own seeds.

Look out for mini beasts/ buds coming out/signs of spring!

-Find the Easter eggs hidden around the garden.

- Chalk fun

- Go on a spring hunt with check list.

- How many worms can you find? Which one is the biggest? Smallest? Compare the
different lengths.
-The Bunny Hokey Pokey.

Monday
AM- Sign of the week- Bunny/. Share news/tapestry. AM- Finger print Easter eggs. Independent.
Easter twinkl power point. Talk about all activities we
