Activity-1 Find the number of subsets of a given set and verify that if a set has n number of elements,

then the total number of subsets is 2n .
Activity-2 Verify that for two sets A and B, n (A×B) = pq and the total number of relations from A to B

is 2pq , where n(A) = p and n(B) = q.
Activity-3 To represent set theoretic operations (union, intersection & difference of sets) using Venn

diagrams.
4 Activity-6 Distinguish between relation and function.
5 Activity-11 Interpret the meaning of 𝑖 = √−1 geometrically.
Activity-18 To demonstrate that the Arithmetic mean of two different positive numbers is always greater

than the Geometric mean.
7 Activity-33 To write the sample space, when a coin is tossed once, two times, three times, four times.

Note:
1. Bring all necessary items with you which are required to perform the activity as geometry box,
coloured papers, graph paper, glue, scissor etc. Sharing of items is strictly prohibited.
2. Students will be allowed to appear for activity assessment only after the submission of Activity
Note Book prepared by himself/herself throughout the session.
3. An activity will be provided randomly to each student and the same he/she has to perform then
and there within one hour.
