Exact Purpose: By the end of my talk, the audience will understand that
learning foreign languages in schools is essential for students’ cognitive,
academic, and professional development.

INTRODUCTION
 Attention-getter: Have you ever imagined waking up in a foreign
country where no one speaks your language? The street signs are
unreadable, the conversations around you sound like a melody of
unknown words, and ordering a simple cup of coffee feels like an
impossible task.
 Audience motivation: In our connected world, knowing multiple
languages can create exciting opportunities and boost your career.
Isn’t it amazing how being multilingual can enrich your life?
 Establish credibility: Studies show that learning a second language
boosts academic performance and cognitive skills.
 Thesis: Schools should teach foreign languages to students due to
the numerous benefits, including enhanced cognitive development,
improved career prospects, and increased cultural awareness.
[Transition] Before exploring these benefits, let’s first understand how
learning a foreign language affects cognitive abilities and overall
academic performance.
BODY

1 . Improves memory and problem-solving skills.

peers in logic-based subjects like math and science.

benefits cognitive skills, let’s explore its impact on career opportunities.
