Definitions with examples:

1. Simple Sentence: A sentence with only one main or independent clause.

Examples: 1. She runs every morning 2. The cat slept peacefully.

2. Compound Sentence: A sentence with two or more main or independent clauses joined by a coordinating
conjunction (e.g., and, but, or) or a semicolon.
Examples: 1.I wanted to go to the park, but it started to rain
