Merespon makna dalam teks lisan fungsional monolog pendek sederhana


yang berbentuk descriptive dan procedure untuk berinteraksi dengan
lingkungan terdekat.

Basic Competence : 8.2 Merespon makna dalam teks lisan fungsional monolog pendek sederhana
dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa lisan secara akurat, lancar, dan
berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar dalam
teks berbentuk descriptive dan procedure.

Sub Competence :8.2.1Merespon makna dalam teks deskriptif.


Theme : Describing People
Aspect / Skill : Reading

 Description is about sensory experience how something looks, sounds, and tastes. Mostly it is about
visual experience, but description also deals with other kinds of perception. Descriptive text is a text
which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person,
place, or thing ( Kane, 2000: 352).
 The generic structure of a descriptive text:
1. Identification : someone or other objects that will be described.
2. Description : explanation/ description of someone or objects with mention the characters.
 Language features of descriptive text:
1. Tenses: Simple Present Tense, Present Continous Tense,etc.
2. Vocabulary that related to the topic (Noun, Adjective, Verb, Personal Pronoun, and Possessive
Pronoun, etc).
 Example:
I have a sister. Her name is Anita. She is a beautiful person. She is not tall
but short, and she has brown curly hair. The color of her eyes is like honey and
her skin is light brown. She has a beautiful smile.
My sister married a soldier. He is Ali. They have two chidren. They
live happily.
My sister is a nurse. She goes to hospital everyday. She is very
diligent and intelligent. She always goes to hospital by motorcycle. Her
friends at hospital like her because she is very kind person.
My sister’s hobbies are singing and dancing. She goes to a gallery
every week. She always sings a song in her bedroom.
She always teaches me some songs . I love her, because she is a good
model for me.
