Joint PTA-Barangay Resolution No. ____ Series of 2024

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR OF CLARIN, BOHOL,


ENGR. EUGENIANO IBARRA TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE
AMOUNT OF Php 3,640,000.00 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR THE
RELOCATION OF TONTUNAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

WHEREAS, Tontunan National High School has been newly established to meet the growing
educational needs of Barangay Tontunan and its surrounding communities, providing secondary
education to an increasing number of students in the area;

WHEREAS, the current site of Tontunan National High School lacks the necessary space and
infrastructure for expansion, which is essential to accommodate the school’s rapidly growing
population and to offer a conducive environment for learning;

WHEREAS, a suitable parcel of land has been identified for the relocation of Tontunan National
High School, which will provide the necessary space for expansion, safety, and the development
of additional facilities, thereby enhancing the quality of education offered to students;

WHEREAS, the acquisition of the identified land for the relocation of the school, located in
Tontunan, Clarin, Bohol, requires an estimated amount of Php 3,640,000.00;

WHEREAS, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Tontunan National High School,


represented by Peejay Baslan, SIC/Teacher Organization President, together with the Barangay
Council of Tontunan, represented by Hon. Lina D. Recones, and other stakeholders, are united in
their commitment to securing a permanent, spacious, and safe location for the school, which is
essential for its growth and sustainability;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Tontunan National High School, through its
Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and in partnership with the Barangay Council of Tontunan,
Clarin, Bohol, respectfully request the Honorable Mayor of Clarin, Bohol, Engr. Eugeniano
Ibarra to prioritize and allocate funds for the acquisition of land for the relocation of Tontunan
National High School;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the
Governor of Bohol, the Department of Education, the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and other
concerned agencies for their information and appropriation action.

APPROVED this ____ day of November, 2024 in a joint session held at the Barangay Hall of
Tontunan, Clarin, Bohol.
