9208 dt.18.3.2019 of R & DM Dept.
Madam/Sir,
In continuation of this Dept. letter No.9208 dt. 18.3.2019, | am directed to
say that the persons belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections who are not
covered under scheme for reservation for the Scheduled Tribes, the Scheduled
Castes & the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (OBC Central list)
shall be provided reservation in admission to educational institutions under Govt.
of India subject toa maximum of 10%.
Application form for Income and Asset Certificate as well as the format
for issue of said certificate as prescribed vide R &DM Dept. letter No.9208
dt.18.2.2019 and subsequent Resolution No.15147 dt.27.5.2019 will remain
unchanged. The Odisha Miscellaneous Certificate Rules will be amended
accordingly. Copy of letter No.5097 dt.10.3.2019 of ST &SC Dev. Dept., Office
Memorandum No.36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) dt.19.1.2019 of Dept. of Personnel
and Training, OM No. 12-4/2019-U1 of MHRD and OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II
dt.17.1.2019 of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of
India are enclosed herewith for reference. It is made abundantly clear that OBC (Central list) shall be the
exclusion criteria for issue of Income and Asset Certificate for reservation
in Civil Posts and Services and admis:
Govt. of India only.

2. The benefit of reservation under the EWS category can be availed
upon procuction of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the
cempetent authority in the State Government/UT Administration, as
irmtioned in para 5.4 of the said OM. The authority concerned may kindiy
be requested to ssue the Income ang Asset Certificate to the persons
el gible for the reservation scheme as EWS in the Proforma at Annexure-I
atrached to the OM.
