The learners is able to apply measures objects using appropriate measuring tools and unit
of length in m or cm.

a. Demonstrates understanding of standard measures of length.,
b. Shows and uses the appropriate unit of length and their abbreviation m and cm to
measure a particular objects; and
c. Appreciate the knowledge of standard measures of length in real life situations.

Length - is how long or short an objects is. It can also


tell you how wide an object is. We compare objects to
see which one is longer, shorter, or the same size.

Now let’s practice.

establish the idea of short and long. Then ask which is

Centimeter is used to measure small objects.


Meter is used to measure large objects.
The abbreviation of centimeter is “cm” while the
