GUIDELINES FOR CBSE EXAMINATION 2024-25

INSTRUCTION:

 Student must report to the examination centre before 9.45 am.


 Entry after 10:00 am will not be allowed under any circumstances.
 Students will be subjected to extensive and compulsory physical frisking before entering the
examination centre.
 The exam will begin at 10:30 am.
 Check yours admit card, review exam dates, and go through all instructions thoroughly.
 It's mandatory to carry yours admit card for every exam.
 A seat marked with Roll number will be allotted to each student. Students will be required to
find out and occupy their allotted seats.
 No student, without permission of the Assistant Superintendent, shall leave seat or the
Examination Hall until the end of the examination.
 Before beginning paper, student will write on the title sheet of answer book the subject and
question paper code number and Roll No. in the space provided on title sheet and nowhere else
in the answer book. Student will also write Roll No. on question paper as soon as it is received.
 Reporting any missing or torn pages of the answer book or Supplementary Answer book to the
assistant superintendent is necessary.
 Answers shall be written on both sides of the answer book supplied to the student. No student
shall tear out any leaf from the answer book.
 The student shall not ask for supplementary answer sheet till the main answer book is filled.
 On the expiry of time the answer book must be handed over to the Assistant Superintendent
irrespective whether the student has answered the paper in full or in part or not at all.
 If a student is caught using unfair methods, the board may disqualify them from the exam,
withhold their results, or permanent debarring

The following is a list of items that are permitted and barred from taking to the Examination Centres

LIST OF PERMITTED ITEMS


a) Admit Card & School Identity Card
b) Stationery items i.e., Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ink/Ball Point/Gel
Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Eraser
c) Analogue Watch, Transparent Water Bottle.
d) Metro Card, Bus Pass, Money.

LIST OF BARRED ITEMS


a) Any stationery item - such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator, Pen
Drives, Log Table (shall be provided by the centres), Electronic Pen/ Scanner, etc.
b) Any communication device - such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager,
Health Band, Smart Watch, Camera, etc.
c) Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Pouches, etc.
d) Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic students
e) Any other item which could be used for unfair means
f) Use of the above or similar items will be treated under the “Unfair Means” category and will attract
punishment as per rules.

Regular School Uniform (Sport uniform is not allowed) & School ID Card

IMPORTANT POINTS DURING EXAMINATION

 Always keep margins on both sides of the answer sheet. Clearly write the question numbers on
the left margin and avoid entering the wrong question number. Indicate the SECTION while
answering questions.
 Only blue ink pens are allowed in the examination.
 Perform rough work on the right side of the page.
 Don't erase rough work done in pencil as it might damage the page; instead, strike it through to
indicate it's not part of the final answer.
 Underline the keywords.
 Avoid scribbling, overwriting etc.
 Follow staff instructions, cooperate, and maintain decorum.
 Transparent pouches are allowed for carrying pens, pencils, etc. Only geometry tools/drawing
instruments are allowed for math exams
 Strictly refrain from carrying mobile phones, earphones, health bands, etc.
 No name or roll number or special mark should be mentioned on map/ graph paper etc.
 No lending or interchanging of articles, any kind of communication or attempting to do so are
allowed in the examination hall.
 No eatables are allowed.
 Candidates must neatly and accurately fill in the following details, as per the admit card, on the
left-hand side of the OMR sheet.

 Subject
 Subject code
 Day and date of examination
 Medium of answering the paper
 Code no. as written on the top of the question paper / set number
 No. of supplementary answer book(s) used
 Differently abled candidate
 Whether writer provided (Yes/No)
 Candidate’s Name: Write your name in capital letters. placing each letter in a
separate box with one box left blank between each part of your name. If your
name exceeds 24 characters, write the first 24 characters only.

 Write and darken the appropriate circle as applicable for:


– Candidate’s name in capital letters
– Roll no.
– Subject code
– Centre no.
 Roll No. in words
 Subject
 School No. as per admit card
 Father’s /Guardian’s Name
 Signature of Candidate
