Tips for mathematics examination
Practice chapterwise solved examples given in the text book.
Prepare for basic concepts, Practice direct formula based questions and solve exercise sums as well. Concentrate on diagram based questions such as mensuration and circle etc. Concentrate on all the lessons don't neglect any concepts. Practice graph questions at home on graph papers. Simple calculation must be done by the following steps on the paper and not mentally. For all subjective questions, all steps should be clearly shown. Omission in steps will result in deduction of marks. Use symbols such as +, -, = and other convertions properly. Write the answer in any order and should start with a section or a question you are more confident in. Carry all the required stationary to the exam hall without fail. Read the questions carefully, understand what is asked in the question. The section should be clearly mentioned and the question number should be properly marked. use the reading time wisely and should concentrate more on deciding the four questions from Section B. Attempt all the questions from section A and choose any four questions from section B. Don't waste time by thinking about one particular question. Always plan your paper in such a way that you have 30 min of revision time. Revise all the calculation you have done in the paper. Solve MCQs by 15-20 min of duration . ( just write the correct option along with answer, no need to show the steps, shortcut can be used for solving MCQs). Finish the paper by 2 hrs. ( sec-A: MCQ - 20 min, Q2- 20 min, Q3- 20 min. Sec- B : any 4 solve each question by 15 minutes ) Don't commit a simple mistake will calculating. Attempt one extra question as an insurance. Proper reason should be given will proving the theorem. Use a log table in a appropriate manner. Use a trigonometric table in a proper way. Rough work should be clearly shown in the rough column so that the examiner may refer to that if there is any error while copying the values from rough. All working must be done in the same page ( don't forget to maintain seperate working column at bottom of the answer script). should positively answer the graph questions which will help you to score more overall. Plot the graphs using pencil and scale represent the x and y axis properly. For all geometry questions, figure drawing and correct labeling is a must wherever applicable. should draw figures with pencil and use geometrical instruments for construction. Geometrical traces shouldn’t be erased at all (specifically for construction). Presentation should be neat and clean. Be relaxed and calm. ALL THE BEST
