PREREQUISITES: APS 4101 Physics I

PURPOSE: To equip the student with knowledge in electricity and magnetism.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this unit the student should be able to:-
i) Determine the effective resistance and capacitance of circuits
ii) Use Kirchhoff’s laws to analyze currents and voltages through electrical devices.
iii) Explain the magnetic effect of current carrying conductors and its applications.
iv) Design basic analogue and digital instrumentation circuits
