Learning a second language not only communication but also offers enormous
benefits, so I try to learn French. At first, I was very confused between French and
Chinese. However, I chose to learn French because my grandfather said it was very
interesting. But unfortunately it is not as easy as I thought. There are a lot of
vocabulary in each topic and gradually the number of words increases to 100
words, if I do not review my lessons, I will forget them quickly. Despite my
efforts, grammar is still a big obstacle for me. I can never write a complete
sentence structure correctly. My pronunciation is also a problem, it is difficult to
pronounce correctly like a native speaker. Sometimes I want to give up but then I
think about the reason I started. I want to continue learning, not only to
communicate better but also to understand more deeply the culture of that country.
Therefore, I started looking for free teaching websites to improve my skills. These
websites allow me to practice whenever I have free time . Although the path to
learning French is not easy, I have realized that perseverance and effort will help
me improve day by day. Before the presentation, my group had prepared the lesson
the teacher gave me a month ago, but I was still very nervous. My neck was so
tight that I couldn't speak. I was sweating profusely and I didn't even dare to look
at anyone in the classroom. Many people were looking at me. Seeing my
nervousness, the teacher and my classmates cheered and encouraged me a lot. I
started to take deep breaths and drank some water to regain my confidence.

Part 2:

I spent approximately one year studying French at my university. It is not too short
but too long to help me become familiar with a second language. When I learn, I
admit that it offers enormous benefits. It can be personal growth in critical thinking
but it also expands my knowledge and provides me access to different cultures.
The reason I choose to learn French is because it plays a role in the world. While
Chinese is regarded as a popular language in Asia, French is a common language
in the European Union. In that place, people use it as their mother tongue in
conversational daily life. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to study abroad for
people who are fluent in French. Can be said, language is the most efficient way to
integrate many cultures in the world and it can be useful in tourism. Although there
are numerous advantages, I still lose motivation due to challenges. I must confess
that it is very hard to imitate the pronunciation of native speakers. Sometimes I ask
myself why French makes many rules while the nature of languages is just about
serving for demands of communication of people in life. And I think a
circumstance that beginners often meet is the same vocabulary between English
and French. Sometimes I want to give up but then I think about the reason I started.
I want to continue learning, not only to communicate better but also to understand
more deeply the culture of that country. Therefore, I start looking for free teaching
websites to improve my skills. These websites allow me to practice whenever I
have free time. Although the path to learning French is not easy, I have realized
that perseverance and effort will help me improve day by day.
