1. All players must download chess clock. (I recommend chess clock by chess.

com)
2. There will be 2 players from each semesters. (total of 12 players 5*2=10 from bachelors and
2*1 from masters).
3. The players will be declared as first seat, second seat meaning best player and 2nd best player
of the respective class.
4. These players will be decided by games played among these players however the respective
semester chooses.
5. All the rules such as en passant, stalemate, draw by three position repetition, draw by 50-
move etc. rule will be applied.
6. A win in one game will be awarded 1 point, loss will be given 0 point and draw will have 0.5
point.
7. A round robin tournament will be held between 1st seats of all batches (6 players) and
another round robin will be held for 2nd seats.
8. The round robin tournament mentioned in no. 7 will be of 5 mins with 2 sec bonus after each
move. The color of the pieces will be decided by random draw before the match.
9. From the tournament of 1st seats, top 4 players will be selected, from tournament of 2nd seat,
3 players will be selected for next round.
10. If there is draw in selection process, the game will be decided by Armageddon. For more
details of armagaddon, see rule no. 13.
11. Of the selected 7 players, another round robin will be held with 10 mins time and 2 sec
bonus.
12. If there are multiple players with highest, 2nd highest and 3rd highest points in this, they will
play additional 2 matches of same time control. If still the score is same, the game goes into
Armageddon.
13. For Armageddon, the default time will be 8 minutes with 0 second bonus and players will bid
for black pieces. The bid with lowest time will win the bid and play with the same time that
they bid. Player with black pieces will have draw odds (i.e. if player with black color draws,
they are considered winner).
14. In case of illegal moves, first illegal move will cause deduction of 10 sec, 2nd illegal move will
cause deduction of 20 sec and in case of 3rd illegal move, the opponent will win by
disqualification.
