Q.1. A circuit switched connection involves 4 switching node. Each node takes 1 seconds and 0.3 seconds for establishing and releasing connections respectively. If the data transfer rate is 2800 bps, compute the data transfer time for a message that is 400 bytes long. Q.2. Design a three stage 200 x 200 switch (N = 200) with k = 4 and n = 20. Also compare number of cross points with single stage switch. Q.3. 5 signals each of 3600 Hz and 5 signals each of 4000 Hz are to be multiplexed to a common TDM channel. Compute for each sample.
