2. Aim of Course
The aim of engineering drawing & graphics lab is to know the different types of
engineering drawings and their uses. To familiarize the students with the different
engineering drawings and their reading as an engineered language, also to have hands
on experience to various drawings. To know about various tools, use in engineering
drawing and their usage.

3. Summary of Contents
➢ Introduction to drawing instruments and their uses
➢ various scales
➢ Practice of orthographic projection
➢ Missing lines in orthographic projection
➢ drawing three views of different objects
➢ Practice of dimensioning and lettering
➢ Practice of sectioning
➢ Conversion of orthographic projection into isometric view,
➢ Creating drawings of engineering fasteners like rivets, cotter joint, threads etc.
➢ Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD & T)

9. Re-registration / Improvement
A student receiving F (Fail) grade or W (Withdraw) grade in any course shall be required
to re-register in that course. A student receiving less than or equal to C grade in a course
may also re-register in that course, to improve his/her grade subject to a maximum of
one chance within one year of the declaration of final semester result.

10. Attendance Requirement


Students are expected to attend at least 75 % of classes in order to be eligible to appear
in the final examination/Viva voce.
