 Do some walnut crushes, prayer pulses and serving the tray, squats etc. palates movements
with them for blood circulation, brain break and to aid in posture.
Demo/Modeling:
Teacher will stand in front of the class and instruct students to follow my movements.
Instructions to students:
 “Put all your pens and things down and follow me outside.”
 Once outside, get the students to stand in a circle with their arms stretched out to give
enough space between each student.
 “Can you follow my movement? Let’s see if you can follow the teacher.”
ICQ’s/CCQ’s:
“See if you can follow me.”
Feedback technique:
“Do you feel relaxed? Do your arms feel a little sore?” (laugh with the students if they laugh).

 Divide the class into 4 groups of 5.


 Get them to form a line in the middle of the class.
 Assign the students “A, B, C, D, E” and get all the A’s in one group, all the B’s in one group, all
the C’s in one group etc.
 Have a bag for each group with the 5 rolls folded up in it.
 Each student in each group has to pick form the bag at random.
 Whatever roll they get, they have to act out.
 The rolls are doctor, delivery driver, hair dresser, teacher and police officer
 No need to print, write it neatly on small rectangular scrap paper.
 Have 3 bigger versions (hair dresser, police officer and delivery driver) for me to model.
Demo/Modeling:
 Call up one student.
 Licit from the student to ask me what I did last weekend.
 Get the student to hold the bag with the 3 bigger modeling rectangles in it and draw a
random one.
 Show the class what you drew. Elicit the card drew (for example hair dresser) from the class.
 Act campy like a hair dresser (pretend to have chewing gum)
 “Well, I had a coffee on Saturday.”
 Elicit from the student to ask what else did you do?
 “I had an early appointment with Lara, you know how much she speaks.”
 Elicit again from the student to ask what else did you do?
 “Then I had a went out with my friends Saturday night.”
 Praise the student
Instructions to students:
 “Draw a character. You will pretend to be this character for today. Each of you have to ask
each other, as your character, what you did last weekend.”
 “Have two follow-up questions What else did you do?”
ICQ’s/CCQ’s:
 “Are you pretending to be yourself?” (no)
 How many follow-up questions do you have? (2)
Feedback technique:
 Monitor while the students roll play.
 Once the time is up, return them to their seats for the exit ticket.
